Beberapa pengertian Pancasila yang dikemukakan oleh para ahli :

- Muhammad Yamin, Pancasila berasal dari kata Panca yang berarti lima dan Sila yang berarti sendi, atas, dasar atau peraturan tingkah laku yang penting dan baik.  Dengan demikian Pancasila merupakan lima dasar yang berisi pedoman  atau  aturan tentang tingkah laku yang penting dan baik.

-Ir. Soekarno, Pancasila adalah isi jiwa bangsa Indonesia yang turun-temurun sekian abad lamanya terpendam bisu oleh kebudayaan Barat. Dengan demikian, Pancasila tidak saja falsafah negara, tetapi lebih luas lagi, yakni falsafah bangsa  Indonesia.

- Notonegoro, Pancasila adalah Dasar Falsafah Negara Indonesia. Berdasarkan pengertian ini dapat disimpulkan Pancasila pada hakikatnya merupakan dasar falsafah dan  Ideologi negara yang diharapkan menjadi pendangan hidup bangsa Indonesia sebagai dasar pemersatu, lambang persatuan dan kesatuan serta sebagai pertahanan bangsa dan negara Indonesia.

-Berdasarkan Terminologi, Pada 1 juni 1945, dalam sidang Badan Penyelidik Usaha-Usaha Persiapan kemerdekaan Indonesia (BPUKI), Pancasila yang memiliki arti lima asas dasar digunakan oleh Presiden Soekarno untuk memberi nama pada lima prinsip dasar negara Indonesia yang diusulkannya.

A Very Short Introduction to Philosophy

The course  is designed as a project based learning, wherein students are required to compose a research proposal as a final project. The research proposal is a product of independent learning through a series of structured assignments from the choosing of a topic to the final draft of a research proposal. In the learning process, students learn about types of research methods on literature and well as how to apply those types into practice.

 


This course offers students at an elementary level an opportunity to enhance their reading skills utilizing Extensive Reading method. Students are guided to read as many pages as possible without using dictionaries while the lecturer carefully monitors their reading behavior and gives advice and suggestions to improve their reading skills.  

 

In this course, the emphasis is put on acquiring the skill to enjoy the contents without translation. Gradually shifting to the materials of higher levels, students will find themselves absorbing the contents without translating each word or sentence into English.  Combined with other activities such as small group discussion, shadowing, presenting and writing book reports, students will develop general language competence, knowledge of vocabulary, prediction skills, as well as writing and speaking skills.       The main part of the class will be reading lab and student- lecturer consultations.

Students are able to comprehend the dialogue and speech containing the persuasive way (how to persuade others). 

Students are able to understand and apply the characteristics, factor, process, acquisition, the principles, and language learning styles. 


Indonesia

Mahasiswa mampu menginterprestasikan percapakan dan monolok dengan menggunakan consecutive dan simultaneous interpreting yang dapat dipahami dan diterima oleh pembeicara (speakers) maupun pendengar (listeners).


English

Students will be able to interpret conversations and dialogues by using consecutive and simultaneous interpreting which are understood and accepted by both listeners (from target language) and speakers (from source language).
